Because it happens.
To us all.
Blogger's block.
Sometimes I think this is actually worse than writer's block, because, well, I HAVE A SET DAY TO POST. And I need to get a post cranked out by then. AND it's not always easy! (also tip: if you're wondering about setting a schedule and posting one day every week, take my advice and don't do what I do--start brainstorming the night before it's supposed to go up. JUST DON'T.)
I know that there have been so many times where I just sit in front of the computer staring at that awful blinking cursor for wayyyy too long, so today I decided to round up a few blog post ideas that will hopefully give you a little blog-gy inspiration if you're stuck in a rut :) I know most you all are bloggers, so YOU KNOW THIS. BLOGGING CAN BE HARD, but we can do it, y'all! *cheers*
+ If you just had a great week, write and tell us about it!
+ Have some motivational quotes that you want to share? I love finding new inspiration :)
+ Round up some of your all time favorite pictures and compile them in an inspirational post!
+ Do a post full of GIF's. They're the best. END OF STORY.
+ Share some of your favorites! These can be in any category as well.
+ Write about....blogging!! Share your work space, your favorite tools, what goes into a blog post, how you find inspiration, or some of your tried-and-true tips.
+ If you don't have anything to blog about, try writing a wishlist! What are some things you've been wanting recently?
+ Write a letter to your younger and/or older self.
+ 10 Things You Can't Live without?
+ Write a blog post about why you started blogging.
+ Share some of your favorite books (this one shouldn't be too hard =)
+ Do you know some cool HTML/CSS codes? Share them with the rest of us!
+ Write a post about where you want to travel and why.
+ Just finished decorating or designing your room? Share a few pictures! I know I love seeing how other people decorate, and it's a fun post!
+ Make a reverse bucket list. What have you already accomplished in life?
+ Share some of your pet peeves.
+ Taken any great pictures lately? Put them together into a photography post. I love these kinds of posts so much. HELLO INSPIRATION.
+ Share a favorite recipe!
+ Write down a list of some things that people might not know about you.
+ Do a this-or-that post. You can find questions online asking which your prefer between two choices, and write your answers down in a post.
+ Write about what your passionate about (i.e. your hobbies, etc.)
+ x Things I've Learned in x Years (This one's great for a birthday!)
+ Create a reader survey!
+ Write a slam poem. Sometimes they're the most meaningful posts.
+ Share your thoughts on something! It can be anything, honestly. People will love to hear your thoughts.
+ And when all else fails, try writing a post of blog post ideas! It can actually be really inspiring ;)

So I hope that you all liked this post! Some of these ideas I've actually done in the past, and I know that sometimes I feel like re-doing them because it's BEEN SO LONG and it would be an easy idea too xD BLOGGING CAN BE TOUGH, GUYS. But it is so worth it ♥ SO TELL ME, is it easy for you to come up with blog post ideas? Do you have any more that I should add to that list up there? I think it became a little easier and harder at the same time when I started scheduling posts for once a week, because I knew that I always had to be thinking of an idea, yet IT'S SO EASY TO PROCRASTINATE. Usually I'm trying to rack my brain trying to come up with a blog post the night before it's supposed to go up *laugh* AH THE BLOGGING LIFE.

*glances nervously into the future of being a seasoned blogger* I'm not quite there yet :P I'm still at the stage where post topics viciously attack me at all times, but I fear I might see an end to my ideas coming...soon.
ReplyDeleteBut then I'll just come back and check out this post xD FANTASTIC ideas here--I can't wait to try some!
<3

*glances into the future* NOPE NOT THERE YET THANKFULLY. haha xD OOH WELL TAKE THOSE POST IDEAS TO HEART WHILE THEY'RE THERE. I still do get blog post inspiration bouts, but it's just that sometimes I just can't figure out what to post.
DeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH GAHH <3
I AM SUCH A BAD BLOGGER.
ReplyDelete...........

These ideas are great and super inspiring! I will have to refer back to this list whenever I feel uninspired....like now, I guess. Yessss, totally trying one of these ideas. Like now. XD
NO YOU'RE NOT, CLARA =) You're a fabulous blogger!
DeleteLike honestly, no worries on not having a posting schedule. I just went out on a limb and decided to try that this year, and I just find that it helps keep me on track, but I know other years I didn't do it and I was still a...blogger. lol.
Haha, I'm so glad you like it! It means the world to me <3
*snap snap snap* these are good. keep killin' it, autumn dear. also laughing because i post around once a month. so i'm gonna skedaddle out of here on that guilty note. whoops. x (i really have no good excuse for my bad blogging habits (; )
ReplyDeletep.s. lowkey admiring how lovely the photo for this post looks. it good, u good, God is good. nice.

DeleteAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW (like that is literally all I can say. YOU DA BEST, CALLY GIRL.)
(also if you want to be organised and post regularly, don't just schedule a WHOLE BUNCH of book reviews to go up in a row because traffic will ddddrrrrroooooopppppp)
ReplyDeletelol but some of these ideas are really helpful! (ie I hadn't thought of doing a reverse bucket list before...hmmm...)
awwww YES!!! THANK YOU FOR THAT TIP. I know that some posts don't get as much traffic as others, but then again, you got to blog for you too!
DeleteYes! I'm so happy you found it helpful.
Well, you're better than me. I end up suddenly realizing sometime between Sunday and Tuesday night that I'm supposed to have posted on my blog...and I haven't...so a lot of the time (probably not the best long-term plan), I just start rambling and hope I end up somewhere...poor readers.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of good ideas that I will be taking into consideration!
ACTUALLY THOUGH THAT IS A GOOD IDEA. I usually procrastinate wayyyy too much too, but I always try to have a set post idea in mind. But maybe it works if you just start typing too? I SHOULD TRY IT SOMETIME. lol
DeleteThanks for reading, Sagebrush Girl!
Now I really want to insert a post completely of GIFs into my blog-with-no-schedule. For no reason. Gahhhk.
ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting (and motivating!) read - brilliant ideas, Autumn!
YES DEFINITELY DO THAT. I honestly love those posts so much! Leave me a link if you do.

ReplyDeleteUGH YES I FEEL YA THERE. Blogger's block might actually be the worst ever. Can't wait for your posts!
DeleteDude, these are good posts! I have some posts planned pretty soon that I'm not too worried about, although I may have to use some of these over the summer because I'm going to have limited time to blog....
ReplyDeletexoxo Abigail Lennah
Oooh yeah, I know what you mean. Like some months I have ten billion posts to go up and I don't have enough time to EVEN GET THEM UP. But then sometimes I'm like wowww maybe I should post about the sky. xD YOU GO GIRL.
DeleteDUUUUDE thank you so much!! These are amazing ideas, i'm gonna go write a post right now! *remembers my laptop is currently having sassitude* But i'll write something by the end of this week. Yay. xD
ReplyDeleteJazzy @ http://thrivinghope.blogspot.com
Oh wow, these are great post ideas! And OMG A GIF POST SOUNDS SO AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm... It's not very hard for me to think of post ideas. But I started two months ago, so I still have some ideas in mind, but I'm sure that as I continue, it'll get harder to think of some blog posts. XD
I KNOW RIGHT?!!? It so needs to happen!
DeleteHaha, well embrace those ideas, dude! Write them down so you'll have them in the future.
I will DEFINITELY be saving this for later reference! I've been suffering from a severe lack of blogging time lately, so it will be really helpful to have a list of easy-to-whip-up posts at my fingertips. :)
