random little thoughts

sometimes pain hits hard and and deep. real hard. real deep. but it's in those moments we need to realize we're not here for whatever is hurting us. keep focused on God, not them.

it doesn't matter if they all don't see you - or even if they do - what matters is that you keep on, no matter how hard the going gets.

don't give in.  the moment you give in a little, the flame in you gets a little dash of water thrown upon it.

it's amazing how sometimes we can let one person rule and ruin our lives.

she's afraid to speak
because the times she has, they've regarded it with no interest.
the words are on the tip of her tongue, yet
she hastily retrieves them back in.
no, not yet. maybe sometime later.
but that 'sometime later', becomes a forever - with those words never spoken.
quietly she stands by, watching
the fearless and the brave make their mark.
yet, she has that dream in her. to be like them. to be courageous enough to
take a stand when not asked.
there seems to be this ache in her heart.
the ache of loneliness.
but the one thing that comforts
lies the in the fact that there is
One who know exactly what she is feeling.
and that thought alone quiets the hurts.

well, I suppose you could say this was the result of me thinking when I should've been working studiously on math catch-up homework.  And I realize that not all of them are necessarily my thoughts, like the one verse is from the Bible.  Oh yeah, and all pictures are from the lovely pinterest.

personally I feel like sometimes I can relate to the second to last one, because sometimes I feel kind of out of it.  Everything is happening around me, yet I'm not part of it. And sometimes that really hurts.  But everything happens for a reason, and if I can rely on Jesus for protection and security, then Hakuna Matata.  :)

have a beautiful week

  15. Wow, can I just say how much I can relate to that girl you describe? I see me; that IS me around people. Indeed, it appears easy to say "oh, lets turn to God in trials + troubles" but I sometimes struggle so much with that because, I'm too proud to admit that I don't have that courage in me. All the bravery I have comes from Him. Thank you for this post xxx.

    1. Wow. I loved this comment so much, Elisabeth. Everything you said is so true. Sometimes I literally get so frustrated at myself because of my stubborn pride. It's hard to rely wholly on God sometimes, but, it truly is important. xx

  20. The one about giving in...I've been remembering that for the past week. There are some people who don't believe writing could possibly be a career, but I'm not giving in. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, Autumn. :)
