i was scrolling through my old blog posts, flipping through old notebooks, and going through a good dose of nostalgia, when i came across these words of wisdom scribbled away in a notebook. i didn't write them, and i have no clue how they came to be in my possession, and there was no credit to where it came from, but they were just there. like verses of gold. to tell you the truth, it was kind of like a good splash of cold water to my face. have you ever felt like something speaks to you personally? i've felt that way to a good many things, and it's a very refreshing, yet strange feeling.
so yeah. today i wanted to post those "quotes" on here, because they're too good to let go. and just to repeat, i didn't write them. someone with much more wisdom and eloquence in words than me did, and i thank them for writing this. it touched me, if it didn't anybody else.
Take time to think;it is the source of power.Take time to read;it is the foundation of wisdom.Take time to be quiet;it is the opportunity to seek God.Take time to be aware;it is the opportunity to help others.Take time to love and be loved;it is God’s greatest gift.Take time to laugh;it is the music of the soul.Take time to be friendly;it is the road to happiness.Take time to dream;it is what the future is made of.Take time to pray;it is the greatest power on earth.
to take time to do any of these things requires something i'm not the best at. diligence, planning, and patience. to ask me to do any of that is practically a joke, let me tell you. i'm probably the worst at organizing and planning things, and taking time to make time for me is probably the one thing that i slack at the most. but if that's one of the most important things, then that's what i should begin working on.
but to wrap up, i honestly want to begin taking time to do everything it says up there. To be quiet, to pray, to dream, to love, to read, and to laugh. Those are the important things in life.

ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
i certainly have, haven't i? it's so nice to able to share them with ya'll.
DeleteOkay, so listen to this. When I got that comment I was FaceTiming my friend Meg. She saw it and claims that she went to preschool with a girl named Autumn Raelin. Do you ever remember knowing a girl named Meg Whitton? She says that the school was called Mosaic Preschool, in Seattle. Did you actually know her?!
ReplyDeleteOhmygoodness! That is literally the WEIRDEST coincidence ever! Actually, you know up below the floral heart in my sidebar it says, "you can call me Autumn"? I never was allowed to reveal my real name, so I chose Autumn Raelin as a pseudonym of sorts. So actually, Autumn Raelin isn't my real name. But that is honestly the strangest thing ever!
