hey guys :) how are you doing? I know I haven't posted in a little while, but guys, I have one word -- school. yeah. school. yippee. you know that speech I was talking about for like, forever, on here? like how I had to get my speech ready, practice it, bla bla bla? yeah, well, last week, I gave it.
da dun dun dun dun.
and this should be the part where either something extremely funny happened or I was just super confident and wasn't nervous at all and I went up there and aced it.
yeah, well neither of that happened. actually, the day I was scheduled to give my presentation, I was giving it with another girl in class. like, she was doing her presentation first, then it was me. so, she got up there and was ready to give it, when a whole other class comes in to listen to us. ummm. #awkwardmoment um, so yeah. I had gotten myself to a point where I was like, "You know, this won't be bad. God is by my side, the angels are watching over me, and all I'm gonna do is go up there and talk about stuff. no one cares except me." yeah, well that sort of disappeared when all these other people showed up to listen. but, somehow, I gathered up all the courage left and prayed so earnestly and I went up there and gave my presentation. my voice may have shaken, I may not have had the best eye contact, but it's over now, I didn't do the worst job ever, and God was with me. What more could I want, right? :)
okay, so onto today's post. I figured today would be the perfect day to type up a blog post. The snow is falling outside, the woods are coated with white, i'm all cozy writing this post, and aromas of a delicious meal are coming from the kitchen. #blessed
WHY AM I RAMBLING ALL OVER THE PLACE. okay. today's post is inspired by the amazing Aliah over at Indigo Ink, and you definitely ought to go check her out. her blog is so lovely and pretty. :) she recently did a post like this, where she listed a whole list of things that she already did that were on her bucket list, and I just thought that that was an amazing idea. because how many times have I posted on here things on my bucket list? probably like, I don't know, three times? haha, yeah, so I figured that this is a way better thing to do, since it focuses on things that I've gotten done, which, now that I look at it, compared to everything on my goals, isn't very much. but oh well, little by little. :)
1. Tried pumpkin spice latte. Wow, this seems so trivial. Honestly, compared to all the world's problems, I wanted to try a pumpkin spice latte? ^_^ anyways, so yes. I tried a pumpkin spice Frappuccino (I figure that's close enough), and then I consequently made a healthier, homemade version and posted it here on the blog. Check it out HERE :)
2. Grown my own food. Been there, done that. Every year I have a garden and grow stuff, so...
3. Had a nice garden.
4. Been an inspiration to others.
5. I have milked a cow. Actually, I've done this more than once. definitely not gonna be my full-time job....but, it isn't all that bad I suppose.
6. I have made a memories album.
7. I have created a tumblr. haha, yeah, I did do this. I just never use it hardly. ..though, I think part of the problem is I don't really know what to do with it soooo.....
8. I have traveled overseas.
9. I have earned another language. If you count my non-fluent Spanish.
10. I have gone snowboarding.
11. I have seen the sun set over the ocean.
12. Experienced zero gravity.
13. Ridden in an helicopter.
14. Ridden a horse on the beach.
15. Been to the Niagara Falls.
so this was probably like super lame...but, i'm really tired and it's a school night, so what can i say? plus, i haven't gotten a ton of stuff crossed off my bucket list yet, so.... hehe....yeah. so i'll wrap this post up now i suppose. what do you think of the new font? yay or nay? also, GUYS, you know that magazine i was talking about a while back....the one me and my friend were putting together? we like got it printed out and sent it to a ton of our friends ;) EEEP.
and the best thing about this magazine is that i'm the editor/designer, SO I MEAN YEAH HELLO DREAM JOB.
we'll just see where this magazine goes though. i don't know. ^_^
have a wonderful day/night wherever you are and keep smiling :)

<3 this! I have always wanted to milk a cow! This was an awesome post!
ReplyDeletehaha, yeah, it went surprisingly well. but let me just say, i'm currently not planning on owning a dairy farm. :P it was okay, all things considered. thanks so much, clara <3 you are awesome.
DeleteWhoops, I didn't even noticed the font changed, but I like it! I don't think your list is lame. Many of those I haven't done.
ReplyDeletethat's a good thing i guess ;) well, yeah, you're right. though, when i look at my bucket list board on pinterest, this list doesn't really hold up to that. but yeah well :) that's alright, i suppose.
DeleteI love posts like these, Autumn. <3
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm jealous of your accomplishments. lol.
YOU DO? yesssssss.
Deletehaha, there is absolutely positively no reason to be jealous of these inky winky (where did that even come from) small things. honestly though, like the niagara falls? i went when i was like 7 and i remember like practically nothing from it. so. yeah. not cool. :)
I LOVE THIS POST IDEA SO MUCH
ReplyDeleteYES IKR ALIAH IS SO BRILLIANT.
DeleteThis is so lovely. I'm glad that you liked the post enough to do something like it. :) I've never actually tried a pumpkin spice latte; perhaps I should add that to my bucket list also... <3
ReplyDeleteAliah | Indigo Ink
aww, i LOVED your post! you did so many cool things, it's so incredible :) haha, it's whatever. it tastes fine, but it's not like the best or greatest thing ever. i don't know why some people make such a big deal over it. but, i love creating new recipes, so when there's a chance for one may as well do it :)
Deletehorse on the beach?? pumpkin spice latte??
ReplyDeleteyaaas girl. also i hear you on non-fluent spanish (ha). i'm learning, or rather attempting to learn, german now. it's a beautiful language, but fluency is an issue <3
i love your list. xx
((and yey!! you're an editor/designer of a magazine? way to go girl!! <3)
um. yeah. pumpink spice latte :) lol. haha, but yeah, that was pretty cool to ride on the beach, i'll say <3
DeleteI GET YOU ON THAT. like 100%. spanish is so fun and cool to rattle off once you learn it, but, uh, the learning part is like torture. german would be such a beautiful language to learn. i have some friends who can speak dutch, and i'm not sure if that's sort of the same :)
aww, thanks! it's pretty fun, all things considered :) you're so sweet.
Cool. How did you experience zero gravity?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ashley
haha, this is sort of embarrassing, but honestly, i did that when i went to the niagara falls, like, a long time ago. so i don't really remember exactly, i think it was in a space center or something and it was demonstrating how it is on the moon or something. i don't really remember, but i have the pictures, so it's like....okay. wow. i did that. great. ;)
DeleteThis was a great post, I love it when you ramble. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you did great on the speech!
Font looks good! I'd make it a tad bigger though, it's a little hard to see.
that made me smile, gloria <3 you like when I ramble? that's the best thing i've heard all day.
Deletethank you so much <3 i hope i did good too :)
yeah, thanks for the input, i'll be sure to get on that asap. i wasn't sure either when i put it in...because it's tad small. you're right. <3
Great post! School is so overwhelming. [insert yawn emoticon]

AMEN SISTA. preach.
DeleteOooh this is such a cute idea! I like it way better than ordinary bucket lists. *nodnod* Also, I'm glad your presentation went well! Those can be terrifying.
ReplyDeletei know, right? it's so creative. aliah is so smart. yeah, i like looking through other people's bucket lists, but it's so neat to see WHAT you've actually done. *nods* YESSSS. it was sort of freaky, tbh, but it went pretty good :)
DeleteYay, you did it! Public speaking is pure TORTURE. I bet you are so relieved to have it over and done with. :) What aN awesome list! I've milked a cow as well! My family and I went to a farm and they let everyone milk the cow. It wasn't as much as novelty like I expected, but it was aN interesting experience. ;)
ReplyDeleteYES. i couldn't have said it better myself. TORTUREEEEEE. i am SOO relieved :) now it's done and can be forgotten about! i'm sure that it was a good experience for me though.... :P You did? that's so cool! i know, it's not like all THAT bad, it's just like, here i go, squirt-squirt, oh look i milked a cow. yeah. :) it is interesting, you're right ^_^
DeleteAwesome post! I love the look of your magazine! :D
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH DEAR. you are so kind :D
DeleteEEEESH it sounds like you had every reason to be nervous there, girl! But I'm sure you did fabulously! And I would have a really hard time getting up to make a speech in front of two classes, so. . . O_O AAAAAIFHSNCSKL I WANT THAT VIBE. THAT VIBE YOU JUST DESCRIBED. Although my house is pretty cozy, too... hehe. ^.^ snow covered woods + warm fire + food = AESTHETIC DELIGHT. (wow that sounded like some kind of flavored coffee omg) I LIKE RAMBLING DUDE. I do it all the time XD but you knew that. aHEM.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS IDEA. I think I already said that in my reply to your comment on my post??idk it bares repeating -- I LOVE THIS IDEA. (three times-- yes. hahaa) I have never tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte before...my sister loves to get them from Starbucks, but I've only smelled them I think?? Hhahaaa TUMBLR IS A CRAZY ONE YUP. Tumblr is like this really weird community of secret fandoms that are frighteningly large enough to conquer a small country. I recommend following Disney animation wannabes who will bombard your feed with ALL THE CUTE DISNEY + PIXAR GIFS GAAAH. Oh and Narnia fandom. FOLLOW ALL THE NARNIA FANDOM BLOGS. And then just drool all over your feed and reblog everything and yeah. there's my crash course on tumblr. xD
WHAT WHAT OKI I WANT TO GO ON A HELICOPTER AND SNOWBOARD AND GO OVERSEAS AND where did you experience zero gravity? OMG YOU'RE REALLY AN ASTRONAUT AREN'T YOU. you are. you've been to outer space. i can tell. ;) SUPER LAME?!? ARE YOU KIDDING??! (i'm shouting here, sorry..) YOU SOUND SO ADVENTUROUS AND AMAZING AND BASICALLY I JUST WANT TO HANG ONTO YOUR ANKLES AND LET YOU DRAG ME AROUND AND DO ALL THE COOL THINGS WITH YOU AND YOUR OBVIOUSLY AWESOME FAMILY. (um i swear google is going to block me for using so many caps in a minute. . XD) pssh and you have a magazine. like... I WANT YOU TO AUTOGRAPH ALL MY SHOES OKI? OKI. HERE'S A SHARPIE.
love,
abbiee
OMW LONG COMMENT YESSSS. aww, thanks, abbie :) it was like, SO FREAKY. but whatever....I mean, it's over now, so phew. but, let me just say, i'm not currently planning on making that my life hobby. YESSSS RIGHT. when I was writing this post it was like super snowy and all tumblr goals. AAWWWW I WANT THAT VIBE. I think that the only thing i'm always missing is the warm fire. cozy fires are just like...everything. haha, hey, i'll take that as a coffee. (actually would I. hmmmm....I wonder.) RAMBLIMG IS HOW WE DO. I love hearing people ramble....it's like, awesome. *clears throat* I actually did, surprisingly =)
DeleteALL CREDIT GOES TO THE WONDERFUL ALIAH. I love this idea too....it's so cool. hehe...yeah, I was hearing like all these wonderful reports about it for FOREVER so I finally just went and bought one. and it's just sort of meh. not the greatest really, but it's okay. but if I can make a healthy version of it, that's what i'll do <3
THANK YOU I NEEDED THAT. yeah, idk, to me tumblr sort of seems all confusing and daunting but I should go check out those people... NARNIAAAAA. this was de best crash course I think I ever heard...so.
DUDE YOU ARE THE BEST. haha, no, i'm not an astronaut. (I THINK) though hey, that would be something else I could cross of my bucket list if I could go into outer space ;) SUPER LAME YES. no, no, shouting is totally fine here. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? YOU are an incredible singer/songwriter, and you have your own website, and like your a famous celebrity asfkfadfkj. LIKE YOU ARE GOALS GIRL. and OMGGG you commented on my post thank youuuu <3 *faints*
hey hey when you go on world tours can I tag along?
PLEASE AUTOGRAPH ALL MY SHOESS. i'll do yours if you do mine <3 haha, XD.
you are the greatest.
WHOA YOU GO GIRL. YOU ROCK. I want to do tons of this stuff. And same I've only tried a pumpkin spice latte once! I was actually kinda disappointed to be honest. And whoa you have an instagram! YAY FOLLOWING ^-^ I missed you!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete*falls over* YOU GO GIRL. you've probably done all this cool stuff too...I mean yeah, I think everyone has done so many amazing things in their life... YEAH IKR? it's really not even that great.... I don't see why people make such a big deal over it. Personally I'm not even a big fan of pumpkin it's just like mush anyway. THNAKIES BUT YOU ALREADY FOLLOW ME XD
DeleteHAHAHAHA WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT I ALREADY FOLLOW YOU I AM SUCH A LOSER
ReplyDeleteGIRL YOU ARE NO LOSER. YOU ARE AMAZING.
DeleteGood on you with the public speaking! (My favourite promise for scary performances is Psalm 18:29, by the way. It's encouraged me so many times.)
ReplyDeleteAnd, I really like your rambling, and this reversed list idea. :) I tried the reverse of a to-do list the other day, and it was far more satisfying. And the stuff you've accomplished is impressive! Where have you been overseas? (I've barely left my home state, so the idea of going overseas is huge.)
Oh, and the magazine looks really nice - how exciting to be the editor! I hope it takes off for you, and is a success from the beginning. Anyway, I shall stop before this comment gets any longer. Blessings & have a fabulous day!
Well done for speaking in front of all of those people - I would have had the same thoughts as you! I love your magazine idea - me and my friend put together one a few years back and we had so much fun writing it, we wanted to sell it at school but the teachers wouldn't let us, haha! We share the same job interest, I have always wanted to be Sandra Bullock when she acted in 'The Proposal', although I wouldn't want my colleagues to think I was a witch and force a man to marry me!
ReplyDeletePaige xo // The Joys of Being Paige
Kudos for you for putting together the magazine! That's an amazing feat to accomplish (and not to mention a lot of work). Hope it goes where you want it to go:)
